  • Mechanical Engineering - Degree (Level 6) Apprenticeship

    About the Role

    Laser Additive Solutions (LAS) is offering an opportunity to start your career in advanced manufacturing through a Degree Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge laser metal deposition and additive manufacturing technologies, while studying part-time towards a recognised engineering degree.


    You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, supporting real projects in design, process development, and production, developing the technical and practical skills needed for a career in high-value manufacturing.


    What We're Looking for

    • A strong interest in engineering and problem-solving
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • 3 A-levels (or equivalent), ideally including maths and a science or technical subject
    • Experience using CAD (preferred
    • Motivation to learn and develop both academically and professionally

  • Graduate Additive Manufacturing Engineer

    Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

    Type:  Full Time, Permanent


    About the Role

    Laser Additive Solutions (LAS) is looking for a Graduate Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join our team working at the forefront of laser metal deposition and advanced manufacturing.


    This role offers the chance to apply your engineering knowledge to real-world challenges — from developing and optimising additive processes to supporting production and R&D projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience with high-precision laser systems, material testing, and component repair and enhancement for sectors such as aerospace, energy, and tooling.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Support Engineering projects from concept to completion.
    • Assist in process development, data analysis and quality assurance.
    • Work with colleagues to deliver technical solutions for customers.

    What We're Looking for

    • A strong interest in Additive Manufacturing
    • A degree in Mechanical, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering (Or related field)
    • Experience of using a CAD software (particularly SolidWorks)
    • Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.

  • Additive Manufacturing Engineer

    Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

    Type: Full Time, Permanent.


    About the Role

    Laser Additive Solutions (LAS) is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to support and develop our laser metal deposition and additive manufacturing operations. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for a range of industries, including aerospace, energy, and tooling.


    This is a hands-on role working across process development, production, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to contribute to R&D and customer-focused innovation projects.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Set up and running of Laser Direct Energy Deposition cells and Laser Powder Bed Fusion cell.
    • Develop and optimise process parameters for new materials and applications
    • Support project planning, quality control and documentation
    • CAD design of Welding Fixtures

    What We're Looking For

    • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar field)
    • Experience working within Additive Manufacturing (specifically L-DED and/or L-PBF)
    • Practical Experience
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

    You’ll support digital marketing, social media, and content creation to promote LAS’s work in laser metal deposition and additive manufacturing, while studying part-time at Doncaster College towards a recognised marketing qualification.


    We’re looking for someone creative, organised, and keen to learn about both marketing and cutting-edge manufacturing.
