MANUAL & HANDHELD LASER WELDING SERVICES
Handheld laser welding offers a precise and flexible solution for joining metal components, producing high-quality welds with low heat input and minimal distortion. The process is particularly well suited to materials such as aluminium and stainless steel, where controlling heat input and distortion can be challenging with conventional welding methods.
HOW DOES HANDHELD LASER WELDING WORK?
Handheld Laser Welding works by using a focused, high-power laser beam to melt and fuse two components together, creating a strong and precise metallurgical joint. The laser is manually guided along the weld joint by a trained operator, providing greater flexibility when welding large, complex or difficult-to-access components. The concentrated laser energy allows heat input to be carefully controlled, producing narrow welds with a small heat-affected zone and minimal distortion. Depending on the application, handheld laser welding can be performed autogenously (without filler material) or with wire filler material to achieve the required weld properties and geometry

ADVANTAGES OF HANDHELD LASER WELDING
- Minimal Distortion compared to conventional MIG/TIG welding
- Far less heat input compared to conventional MIG/TIG welding
